24 Hour FLASH Giveaway for TWO So Much 2 Say codes ($25 AAC app)

I’ve written before about So Much 2 Say and also been lucky enough to be given copies of the app to give away. I now have another 2 copies of the app to share with my readers but the codes expire on Thursday so we need to make this a quick giveaway!

How do you win? Comment on this post and sign in using the email you want me to send your code to if you win.

I will pick two commenters at random tomorrow and email the codes to them right away. I will announce the winners here and on my blog’s Facebook page. Check your email and redeem the codes tomorrow before they expire!

The app has had a couple of major updates since I last wrote about it. A few things to highlight for you:

Lots more options for customization

You can now change:

  • Whether you want to use just cards or cards and categories
  • How many cards/categories are shown on the home page
  • Whether you want to use a sentence strip and how many words your sentence needs
  • If you want purple or black as the background colour and if you want labels at the top or bottom of cards

Networking

If you are a teacher or therapist (or have more than one child that uses SM2S as I do) then you can create cards on one device and drag and drop them onto another.

Symbols

In addition to images from your photo library you can now access about 9,000 symbolstix symbols.

Sentence strip

I mentioned this before but it deserves its own heading. There is now a sentence strip that you can use in So Much 2 Say, so for children like Owen who has moved into the later phases of PECS, I can continue to use an app on his iPad that he’s familiar with.

Even with these enhancements I still find SM2S very easy and intuitive to use.

If you don’t win the app but want it, please consider buying it. At $25 it’s incredibly good value for an AAC app and the developers are special needs parents themselves who do this in their “spare” time out of love for their children and ours.

My daughter is on the autism spectrum and is having trouble lately accessing her words. She uses some PECS, but is young and would benefit from a clear and straightforward communication app like this one! We’d love to try it!

I would love this app. With all of the changes not only does it seem like a perfect next step for my students using PECS but it sounds very easy to use as well. I am an SLP who works at the elementary level with 2 preschool blended units and 3 classrooms for students with multiple handicaps. Many are autistic as well as nonverbal.

  28. Hi Deanne,

I work as a special education teacher to support a lovely young girl who is non-verbal, and faces considerable ongoing developmental needs. She has recently acquired an iPad… but we have had a difficult time finding an app that would be appropriate for her to make choices and that does not have too much detail. I would love it if you could enter me in your give-away draw on her family’s behalf… If we are lucky enough to win, I would be able to support the family in using this technology.

Thanks so much for the opportunity – and for all that you are doing with sharing information and supporting children and their families!

    You are spectacular!!

  36. HAve a class with 6 students – one ipad. We are using it for everything from choice boards , timers, reinforcement games …and because there is only one to go around, the valuable gift of “waiting” :)
If I can really show the parents the benefits of individual devices – its just really expensive, they may get one for each of the students, or do fundraisers to assist. This would be a feel bonus to give them a VOICE. The Pecs are always getting misplaced.
