To complete this pattern, you’ll need:

Worsted weight yarn like Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in white and two other colours. In my sample I used Vanna’s Choice, Schachenmayr Northern and Loops & Threads Impeccable – all of which I had in my stash.
Size F (3.75mm) crochet hook
9mm black safety eyes
Two buttons or beads for the front of the snowman. I used the black version of these which I thought look like little pieces of coal.
Fork or mini pom pom maker
polyester stuffing
Tapestry needle

Don’t be fooled by the “Out of Stock” comment below – it’s just there so you don’t add the pattern to your cart – please download the pattern using the button above.

Do you want to crochet a snowman? Well, you can whip up Frida the snowperson in one piece – no sewing required!

This is a great project for using up small amounts of yarn that you’re not sure what else to do with. Most of the pattern is easy: single crochet, increases and decreases but the hat and scarf are fiddly and use techniques like shallow back post stitches which beginners may not be comfortable with.
