Crochet hot pad pattern free - today is going to be a 2-for-1 surprise freebie! Hot pads (or trivets) are quick easy crochet projects and easy things to crochet for beginners. Working simple repeats in the round is also, I find, really soothing.
The Lightning Quick Hot Pad
Today's featured FREE pattern is for The Lightning Quick Hot Pad from Diane Gibb Designs. You can discover more about Diane and follow her here:
The Lightning Quick Hot Pad is made in continuous rounds from simple, basic stitches. Gauge isn't crucial to the design and you can incorporate some colour therapy into making it by experimenting with 2 strands of yarn in different colourways held together.
Click on the button below to head to Ravelry and add the pattern for The Lightning Quick Hot Pad to your cart and then use the code MINDFULCROCHET at checkout. The discount only applies from 8.00am (EDT) on September 2nd, 2022 to 8:00am (EDT) on September 3rd, 2022.
My Granny Hexagon hot pad is not as easy to make as Diane's Lightning Quick Hot Pad but it's still a relaxing project. You need to know how to chain, slip stitch and use the double crochet to make a 3 double crochet cluster (3dcCL). The 3dcCL is essentially the same as a dc3tog but all your stitches are placed in the same space. The stitch is described step by step in the free written pattern.
Select "Granny Hexagon Hot Pad" from the drop down menu below then click the "Add to Cart" button. Sign in to your account (or create one) and then checkout here on my website. No code is required, as this pattern is always free.
