Crochet wall hanging pattern: Day 5 of the Relax and Hook Blog Hop

Crochet wall hanging pattern: Day 5 of the Relax and Hook blog hop features The Juniper Wall Hanging. Growing up, wall hangings were something that crafters made using macrame techniques. Then macrame wall hangings themselves grew up and became (often complicated) works of art. So I've been delighted to see enterprising crocheters start to design wall hangings using crocheted fabric.

The Juniper Wall Hanging

Today's featured FREE pattern is for The Juniper Wall Hanging from DeniMade. I find this wall hanging just stunning in its simplicity. It puts an iconic crochet stitch (the granny cluster) into a chevron pattern and creates a beautiful home textile that's somehow both retro and modern. I love it. Please do check out Deni's other designs (she has another one in this blog hop) and take the time to thank her for participating. You can find Deni here:

The granny stitch usually results in a mindful crochet experience. Granny stitch fabric is simple to create, uses basic stitches that beginners are comfortable with and in this case is an easy repeat pattern made in rows.
