Easy crochet sweater pattern: Day 16 of the Relax and Hook Blog Hop
Easy crochet sweater pattern: Day 16 of the Relax and Hook blog hop features The Comfy Stars Sweater. With Fall in the air (for those of us in the northern hemisphere at least) you may be considering making your first crochet sweater. So I'm excited that we have an option for you here as part of the Relax and Hook collection of mindful crochet patterns.
The Comfy Stars Sweater
Today's featured FREE pattern is for The Comfy Stars Sweater by Emerald Cherub Crochet! There are a couple of reasons why absolute beginners may not want to tackle this project yet, but if you're a confident beginner then this is a terrific option for your first sweater:
- Stitches used include chain, half double crochet, double crochet and the star stitch. The star stitch isn't a basic stitch but it is pretty easy to learn
- The sweater does require some seaming but there is no complicated shaping
- It's made using a 5mm hook and worsted weight yarn which is perfect for beginners
- Fabric is worked flat, using a simple 4-row repeat
