Quick and easy chunky crochet blanket patterns - Day 10 of the Relax and Hook Blog Hop
Quick and easy chunky crochet blanket patterns - Day 10 of the Relax and Hook blog hop features The Fireside Blanket. Blankets are wonderful mindful crochet projects but can be off-putting for beginners because they take a long time to work up. The Fireside Blanket is the solution, as it combines super chunky yarn and a relaxing stitch repeat.
The Fireside Blanket
Today's featured FREE pattern is for The Fireside Blanket from Spotted Horse Design Co. The pattern makes use of the Almond Ridges stitch (half double crochet and slip stitches) and Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick Yarn so you can create a super chunky, soft and squishy blanket in no time.
Please do check out Christine's other designs and take the time to thank her for participating in the Relax and Hook event. You can find her here:
If, like me, you're starting to feel Fall in the morning air then this may be a great project to start working on. It uses basic stitches in a meditative pattern. Christine says of her design:
"I personally enjoy this particular stitch sequence when I'm experiencing anxiety or panic attacks because I find the repetitive motion of my crochet hook soothing."
