Amigurumi crochet patterns for characters that fill you with thoughts of Spring and Summer.

Blossom and Clover the bees

This pattern includes two different bee designs in one! Blossom is a Queen Bee who is soft and cuddly but firm enough to stand up. She measures 5” tall (including her antenna). Clover is a teeny 2” bee who is perfect for little hands to squish.

To complete these patterns, in addition to polyester stuffing and a yarn needle, for Blossom you’ll need:

  • Worsted weight yarn in yellow, black and white
  • Size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook
  • 12mm black safety eyes

For Clover:

  • DK weight yarn in yellow, black and white
  • Size E (3.5 mm) crochet hook
  • 7.5mm black safety eyes

Most of this pattern is straightforward: single crochet, increases and decreases. The joined stripe rounds and antenna can be a little tricky but there are progress photos to ensure you don’t get lost!

Breeze the Butterfly

I designed Breeze because most amigurumi butterfly can’t stand up on their own two wings! Breeze is an adorable butterfly who is sturdy enough to take her place on a play mat or shelf but is soft enough for cuddles too!

To complete this pattern, you’ll need:

  • DK weight yarn in two colours
  • Size E (3.5mm) crochet hook
  • 12mm black safety eyes
  • Polyester (or other) stuffing
  • Yarn needle

Most of this pattern is straightforward: single crochet, increases and decreases. The antenna and wings are a little fiddly, but there are detailed progress pictures to ensure you don’t get lost.

Moka the Bunny Rabbit

Moka the Bunny is a woodland rabbit, quite shy and unassuming but very kind and generous and extremely loyal to his friends. Moka is perfect for kids (and the young at heart) who love handheld plushies. Moka would be a terrific alternative to eggs as a gift for Easter or really, anytime.

To complete this pattern you’ll need:

  • Worsted weight yarn in a rabbit colour and also some yarn for Moka’s jacket
  • Size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook
  • 9 mm black safety eyes
  • Polyester (or other) stuffing
  • Yarn needle
  • A small button for Moka’s jacket
  • Needle threader (or dental floss)
  • Fork or mini Pom Pom maker

This pattern is pretty straightforward: single crochet, increases and decreases. The pattern includes detailed instructions and a step by step photo tutorial.

Chuck the Chick

I designed this pattern in the run up to Easter and polled my followers on YouTube to find out their favourite Spring colours. I made one using those colours then decided to do a rainbow version for writing up the pattern and Chuck the Rainbow Chick was hatched!

To complete your own Chuck you’ll need:

  • DK weight yarn in rainbow colours (or other colours of your choice)
  • Size G (4.00 mm) crochet hook
  • 10.5 mm black safety eyes
  • Polyester (or other) stuffing
  • Yarn needle
  • Small fork to make Chuck’s comb

This pattern is comprised of single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet and spiked stitches. It’s fiddly and tricky in places so best for confident beginners or intermediate crocheters. Chuck’s body is made from 2 mandalas sewn together. The mandalas are made from joined rounds, worked in the round.
