When I polled the participants in my mindful crochet program, The Relaxed Creative, to find out what projects they wanted to make, the most requested item was blankets! So I'm happy the Relax and Hook event features several blanket patterns.

Today's featured FREE pattern is for the The Jamie Blanket from Golden Pine Creations. This is the second of Camilyn's patterns to be featured in the Relax and Hook event! The first was the beautiful Johnny Blanket.

This easy baby blanket pattern has lots of mindful crochet features:
- It gives beginners the chance to learn and practice a new stitch - the herringbone half double crochet. This isn't a basic crochet stitch but it is pretty straightforward to learn.
- The fabric is created using a one-row repeat that is easy to increase or decrease in size. The border of the blanket is also easy to crochet and simple to adjust so it will work with any size fabric.
- Using chunky yarn, it's quick and easy to make!
